The Fox Engine from what I have read is pretty scalable. MGSV I feel should be capable of running on Switch considering that this game was ported to 360 and PS3. The large expanses of terrain between them? Not so much. Unfortunately those only truly feel great when your in those outposts. It has some incredibly polished stealth mechanics. That being said? It does have it's moments. I feel like Konami got in the way and towards the end the game feels like your repeating so many of it's missions. I was a bit disappointed in the story of MGSV. I seem to recall reading that this is even part of the reason MGS4 hasn't even appeared of the PS4 digital store iirc? Part of what may make MGS4 difficult may be due to the way it was developed because of the nature of the PS3 hardware. How they managed to make the whiney Raiden into a badass? Is incredible. The combat is handled by Platinum games and while it's decidedly an action game? It still kind of feels like it fits within the Metal Gear universe and it ties in with MGS4. But let me assure you.given a choice between Survive and Rising? Rising is the better game by a country mile. Metal Gear Rising seems like an odd choice. The biggest reason being? The refined Peacewalker controls. However I feel the story beats are still there.Īnd as someone who played MGS3 on PS2, PS3, Vita and 3DS? I kind of prefer the 3DS version. Change in voice actors, easier boss fights, cinematic direction, etc.
I feel that MGS: Twin Snakes gets a bad rap for a lot of reasons. What? He would go with Twin Snakes over Metal Gear Solid? I know it may be an unpopular opinion but I find the controls have not aged well in MGS1. I realize some of my choices may be a bit odd.
